The Edgewater

Madison, WI

The Edgewater, a luxury hotel, re-opened on the shore of Lake Mendota with an array of unique media installations including two multi-touch tables and a 90 foot media wall that shows an ever-changing display of past and present, with stories related to iconic Madison sights and the hotel’s vibrant past. Guests are encouraged to upload their own photos taken at The Edgewater to a photo website where they become part of the hotel’s living history. A touchscreen at the media wall allows guests to select a story or recall their individual uploaded images for display on the wall. Hotel staff can work with corporate, wedding and event sponsors to customize a photographic story for the media wall during and after their events.

Outside the Statehouse restaurant, an interactive gallery wall with LCD screens acts like a curated exhibit of Madison’s history and features stories on local pioneers like the American Girl Dolls founder, Pleasant Rowland.
