Maya & Marty

Lorne Michaels premiered Maya and Marty on NBC during the summer of 2016. In addition to the variety show’s stars (beloved Saturday Night Live veterans Maya Rudolph and Martin Short), the production featured guest talents of Tina Fey, Steve Martin, Jerry Seinfeld, Miley Cyrus, John Cena, Amy Poehler and Nick Jonas. In collaboration with the show’s set designer Eugene Lee and Art Director Edward Pierce, batwin + robin created content for an LED video wall, which served as a major scenic and set piece throughout the 6 episode-taping block. The 8 panels of the LED could be arranged in a variety of configurations, which provided maximum flexibility for the show’s integral multimedia components. b+r designed a wide range of media from traditional practical backgrounds that aided storytelling to abstract visuals employed behind musical performances.
