HUMANITY

Working with producers RWS Entertainment Group and director John Charron,  batwin + robin designed and produced video for a new show, Humanity, which premiered in December of 2018 on Holland America Line’s newest Pinnacle class ship, ms Nieuw Statendam. Humanity is an incredible, interactive dance / video show that uses the unique canvas of the World Stage theater to immerse audiences in 270 degrees of animated, panoramic visuals – all closely synchronized to the Step One Dance Company’s onstage choreography.

The World Stage features a two story tall, 250 ft. long LED wall, nearly 16,000 pixels wide, with the added element of video projection mapped to the theater stage. b + r used this ground-breaking technology to create moment after moment of seamless interaction between dance and projected video elements.

Following the opening of Humanity on Nieuw Statendam,  b + r worked to create a new, traditional proscenium theater version of the show, utilizing traveling LED panels and a flying LED header,  that later premiered on several Signature and Vista class Holland America Line ships.
