Holland America Line

Holland America Line’s newest ship, ms Koningsdam launched in April 2016, the first of a new Pinnacle class of ships for the cruise line. The centerpiece of entertainment onboard is the World Stage, a groundbreaking theater unlike any other at sea – featuring a two story, 250 ft long LED wall that surrounds audiences in 270 degree panoramic visuals. Working with RWS Entertainment Group, with set design and visual direction by Poleshuck Design, batwin + robin designed and produced media for 4 different theatrical shows, each premiering during Koningsdam‘s Inaugural Season. From soaring natural landscapes to an intimate nighttime piazza, b+r’s animated visuals transport audiences to an array of immersive environments, creating a thrilling experience for guests onboard Holland America Line’s newest and most innovative ship.

After completing video projection design on Koningsdam, b+r has worked to re-design and re-format these shows for the Main Stage theater onboard Holland America’s Signature and Vista-class cruise ships – utilizing a full proscenium stage with traveling LED panels, a flying LED header, and an upstage LED wall.
