Lucky Guy

New York, NY

Nora Ephron’s final play, Lucky Guy, opened for a special limited engagement on Broadway in the spring of 2013. Working with Tony-winning director George C. Wolfe, lighting designers Jules Fisher & Peggy Eisenhauer, and scenic designer David Rockwell, batwin + robin designed media that supported and enhanced the minimal, film-noir style of the play – with projections that the New York Times said “pungently summon the spirit of a world measured by the placement and type size of headlines.”

The play won two Tony awards and was nominated for six total including Best Play, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Featured Actor (winner), Best Lighting Design (winner), and Best Scenic Design.

“…the projections by Batwin & Robin Productions pungently summon the spirit of a world measured by the placement and type size of headlines.”
