The New-York Historical Society: Holiday Express

The New-York Historical Society unveiled an annual holiday exhibit featuring their newly acquired Jerni toy collection. Throughout the first floor exhibit, batwin + robin created imaginative media content to compliment the various artifact displays. The exhibit designers at LHSA+DP reinvented the NYHS’s Rotunda room by placing a large central artifact case in the center of the space, encircled by four vertical media towers. b+r designed an immersive media experience in which the 24 HD screens that make up the four towers, created a backdrop for 10 defined scenes featured in the center case. This choreographed experience included video, sound design by Andy Green and timed case lighting by David Weiner Design.
